I’ve always believed that our body is a perfect machine that, when balanced, has the most unbelievable capability to take care of itself. See, in the western world, we tend to look at health in a compartmentalized way rather than as a whole. We are led to think one organ separated from the system, the system separated from the mind, and the mind separated from emotions, which are physical manifestation of energy.
To my understanding, massage therapy, by integrating these three areas, is the most natural and obvious path to well being. As a certified massage therapist, I dedicate to study stress and stress related condition, and the laying on of hands to to reduce its cumulative negative effect on an individual's health, and I know for a fact that adding a stress relief massage on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis can make a huge difference in our overall health and the way we deal with the pressures of life.
